Families with more than one student at MEI receive a discount as noted."First Child" indicates the sibling in the highest grade, "Second Child" in the next highest grade and so on.

The registration fee is in addition to these amounts, and contributes towards the yearbook publications, textbook damage deposit and registration expenses.

Tuition Policies
  1. Tuition is invoiced monthly and is due on the 1st of each month (September-June). MEI offers the following payments options:
    • Annual payment: Payment for the entire year can be made by cash, cheque/debit or credit card by September 1st. A prepayment discount of $50.00 per child will apply for those payments received by August 1st. Annual payment instructions must be made for each school year.
    • Semi-annual payments: Two equal payments (due September 1st and February 1st)can be made by cash cheque/debit or credit card. Semi-annual payment instructions must be made for each school year.
    • Monthly payments: Payment can be made by pre-authorized debit only and will be collected on the first day of each school month (September to June). Monthly pre-authorized payment plans are carried forward and adjusted from the previous school year.
  2. Late payments and NSF's are subject to a $25 administration charge.
  3. Continued failure to make payments ON TIME may result in the student being asked to leave MEI.
  4. Students who transfer in by the 16th of the month will be charged a full month's tuition. Those who transfer in after the 15th of the month will be charged a half month's tuition for that month.
  5. Students who withdraw from MEI must give 30 days notice or pay one month's tuition in lieu of notice.
  6. Tuition accounts are expected to be in good standing before payments for extra-curricular activities will be accepted and applied towards those activities.
  7. If a family is unable to comply with the above policies, they must communicate this to the Business Administrator and alternative arrangements may be made if extenuating circumstances exist.

 

Tuition Payment Instructions

Payment Arangements:

1.    New Families

Payment instructions (e.g. post-dated cheque, pre-authorized debit or credit card information) should be forwarded to the Finance department before the end of June.

2.    Existing Families

Those families on a monthly pre-authorized payment plan will have their payments adjusted to the new tuition rates with the first payment taken September 1st.

For families paying annually or semi – annually by credit card or post-dated cheque will need to forward new information each year by June 30th for the following years tuition.


MEI Society Churches

The MEI Schools are owned and operated by the Mennonite Educational Institute Society, which consists of member Mennonite and Mennonite Brethren churches. Each of the following churches elects two members to serve on the MEI Board of Directors. Parents/legal guardiands or students who are members of MEI Society churches at the time of regestration will be afforded a reduced tuition rate.

 

Church Membership Declaration

In order to recieve the member rate of tuition, you must complete and sign a Church Membership Declaration form found at the top of the page and return it to MEI Administration and Finance Office along with your payment instructions. If you have already submitted a Church Membership Declaration for the current school year you are not required to submit a new form. Your membership information will be carried forward. Should any changes occur to your church Membership Declaration pelace notify MEI Administration and Finance Office.
